Fix stripped screws in wood

If you have a screw going into wood, and the hole that the screw goes into gets stripped, there is an easy fix you can use to repair the hole without having to resort to a larger screw. Just get some toothpicks or wooden matches (with the match heads cut off of course). Dip them in wood glue, and then start packing them into the hole. I use a hammer to make sure I am packing them in nice and tight. Wait for the glue to dry, then knock off any protruding ends. You then have a nice new wooden surface to accept the screw.
