Underwater photography tips
Here are a couple tips to help you get better underwater pictures when you are diving or snorkeling.
1) Always use a flash! This is the best thing you can do to counteract the "flatness" that most underwater photographs suffer from.
2) Get close to your subject and make use of your macro lens. Getting close will make it easier to see the subject, and it will help the flash illuminate the subject better.
3) When possible, always shoot from the level of the subject, or from below them. Try it next time you see a fish tank. Look at the fish from above, at their level, and then from slightly below. You get more fishy details when you are slightly below or level with the fish than you do when you are above them. The same goes for corral and other sea creatures.
