Get rid of the Vista Sidebar

If you want to get rid of the Sidebar in Windows Vista, it's pretty easy to do. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Right click on the sidebar icon in the system tray (it'll be in the lower right near the clock) and select Properties from the menu. Uncheck the box next to the text: Start Sidebar when Windows starts and then click OK. This will keep the sidebar from starting next time you start your computer.

2. Right click on the sidebar icon again, this time select Exit. This will kill the sidebar at once.

No more sidebar in Vista.
