Customize the status bar on the Nokia N800/N810
If you want to customize the status bar on your Nokia N800/N810 to remove some of the cruft, here are the not-exactly-intuitive steps to accomplish this.
1) Go to the Task Navigator and select the Applications icon. Then select Settings and then the Control panel.
2) Oce you get to the Control Panel, scroll to the bottom. In the Personalization section there will be an entry called Panels. Select that.
3) In the Panels window, select the Status bar tab. Once selected, you'll see a list of all the things that can show up in your status bar. Check the ones you want, uncheck the ones you do not want and click OK when you are done.
Once done, you will have customized the status bar on your Nokia N800/N810.
