Enable auto-complete in the windows command prompt
The Windows command prompt has an auto-complete feature that is very useful. By using the Tab key, it will complete file and directory names for you. If you use the command prompt in Windows often, this is a very useful feature to enable.
To enable the Windows command prompt, you need to log in as an administrator and then start the regedit application (Start -> Run, then type in regedit). Once you have regedit started, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Command Processor section in the left panel. In the right panel, double click on the CompletionChar and in the "Value data" field enter a value of 9. Once that's done, you can save your changes and close regedit.
Next time you run the command prompt, you will be able to use the Tab key to auto-complete file and directory names.
