Disable the windows desktop cleanup
Tired of getting messages from the windows desktop cleanup wizard that read something along the lines of...
To stop getting these useless messages, right click in an open area of your desktop and select "Properties" from the menu. In the Display Properties window, select the "Desktop" tab and then choose the "Customize Desktop" button (near the bottom). This will open the Desktop Items window. In this window select the "General" tab. Near the bottom is a checkbox with the text "Run Desktop Cleanup Wizard every 60 days" next to it. If you uncheck this box and then hit the OK button a couple times, XP will stop running the desktop cleanup wizard, and you'll stop getting these messages.
