Change the location of the Documents Folder in Vista
If you want to move the location of the documents folder, here's what you need to do.
- If the folder you want to use as your documents folder does not already exist, create it and move over any/all of the files that you want to be in it.
- Click on the Start menu and then right-click My Documents and select Properties from the menu that is displayed.
- In the panel that opens, select the Location tab then click on Move and enter the new location that you want to use for your documents folder.
