Whenever you are traveling by air, always make sure you have the reservations number for the airline saved in your cell phone. If your flight is canceled or delayed excessively, you can then call a reservations agent while you are queued in the line to get a new flight. I find that the phone is usually quicker, and those agents are better at handling changes to your flight plans. If this works for you great. But if not, you're still in the queue at the airport, so you haven't lost anything.
