If you are considering buying Quickbooks, you should be aware of something they do before you commit to the purchase. After three years, Quickbooks turns off many of the features that allow it to communicate with the outside world (your bank, payroll, email, etc). You don't really buy Quickbooks, you lease it for 3 years. So if you are buying, be aware that in 3 years, you'll need to buy again to maintain full functionality.

I'm not saying that this is a reason not to buy Quickbooks. But it is annoying, so I'm just trying to give people a warning before they commit themselves.
