Outlook 2007 has search built-in. Unfortunately, this doesn't mean that the search is going to be good or fast. While Microsoft has released some patches that help make the search in Outlook 2007 faster, if you have a *lot* of old mail, the search can still be painfully slow.

Prior to the release of Outlook 2007, there was an Outlook plug-in called Lookout that provided great search functionality in Outlook. It was fast and it returned relevant results. Unfortunately, Microsoft disabled this plug-in so that it no longer worked.

Well, if Outlook 2007 is still too slow for you, or the relevance of the search results is still not to your liking, it turns out that there is a way to re-enable the Lookout plug-in in Outlook 2007.
