Peeling garlic

Here's a quick and easy way to peel garlic that makes no mess and requires no special kitchen tools. Put the garlic to be peeled into a bag. Smack the bag several times with a mallet, a meat tenderizer, a pan, or any other heavy flat object you have in your kitchen. After several blows, you should be able to reach into the bag and pull out your peeled garlic cloves. All of the waste from the garlic skins will still be in the bag, just throw the bag away and your clean up is complete.
