Keep from getting shocked when exiting your car

If you live in a dry environment, you are probably familiar with the fact that often when you go to get out of your car you get a nasty electric shock when you reach for the door. There is a very easy way to keep this from happening. Once you open the car door, hold on to the some metal portion of the door. Then slide yourself out of the car. If you keep holding on to the metal part of the door as you are getting out, you'll stay grounded and this will keep you from building up a charge and getting shocked when you then touch something metal.
