Starting programs minimized in Windows

If you want to have a program start in minimized mode when you start Windows, here's a trick to help you get that. To start, create create a shortcut for the application that you want to run in this manner. Once the shortcut is created, right click on it and select "Properties", then select the "Shortcut" tab. In the row labeled "Run", select the "Minimized" option -- this will start this application in minimized mode when this shortcut is selected. Lastly, to get it to start when you start Windows, go to the Startup folder in Windows Explorer and drag the shortcut into that folder. Next time you start your machine, this application will then start in minimized mode.

Yeah, this will work in XP and Vista... not sure about any versions of Windows prior to that.
