Getting stains out of marble
To remove marble stain, create a mixture of one part salt to four parts flour and add enough water to get a thick consistency like tooth paste. Once mixed, apply this to the stained marble and let it dry. Once the mixture is completely dry, scrape it off and rinse the area with clean water.
To help reduce the staining of marble, protect the marble surface with a penetrating sealer containing silicone. Never use oil on your marble as this can cause the stone to darken.
