How to survive Hell week (aka Finals week)

It is the time of the semester again when parties come to a halt, the week days drag on longer than ever, and there is the worst type of obstacle standing between you and winter break: Finals.

You can survive this time if you organize your schedule correctly and keep yourself on track. Here's some tips:

1. take a piece of paper and outline the remaining two weeks of your semester (which should be your last week of classes and your week of finals before break). On this paper you are going to create a REALISTIC study schedule to adequately prepare yourself for finals. Start by writing down the date of your final exams, and it is always a good rule that in classes where you struggle you should study a week in advance..yes, a week. It seems crazy, but if whether your final is cummulative or over 3 chapters, it makes it easier to designate one chapter per day. The point of this schedule is to make this time more manageable.
2. Choose a place you can study. This seems obvious, but then again people assume places to study have to be the library or some form of solitary confinement. In all actuality, the key is to study where you are comfortable and able to focus. My study spot is a coffee shop. There are people around me reading etc, which encourages me to work, and yet there is still light background music, etc so that I'm not distracted by pure silence.
Good Luck!
