Reduce waste with reusable bags

If you don't have cloth, or reusable, bags of your own that you use for shopping, you should go out and buy several. The average American uses nearly 400 plastic grocery bags a year. Almost all of these end up in the dump. If you use reusable bags, you can greatly reduce the number of bags that you use. I like to keep the bags in the trunk of my car. That way they are always there when I go shopping, I don't have to remember to bring them with me every time I shop.

I've had the same canvas bags for almost 15 years now. They last for a *long* time and they are better since you can carry a lot more stuff in them. Not to mention the help to the environment.
