Making an application available in every spaceThe "Spaces" feature in Leopard is a nice way to unclutter your desktop by using separate spaces for different types of work that you do. But there are some applications that I like to have open in all of my Spaces so that I don't have to switch as much... my IM client is one such application.
If you have an application that you want to make available in all of your Spaces, this is actually pretty easy to do. Just go to System Preferences and select the Expose & Spaces icon in the Personal section. Once this opens, select the Spaces tab and look at the table with the first column labeled Application Assignments. If the application you want to have in every space is already there, just select the pulldown menu in the Space column and select the Every Space option. If the application is not there, hit the "+" sign underneath the table. This will pop up menu that will allow you to select the application you want to add. Once it is selected, select the Every Space option from the pull down in the Space column and your application will show up in all of your spaces.
