Tired of the startup sound on Windows Vista? Here is how to disable it...

1. Click on the Start button and type "Sound" without the quotes.

2. Select Sound from the list of results.

3. Click on the Sounds tab.

4. Remove the check that is next to the entry titled "Play Windows Startup sound".

5. Hit OK

Enjoy sound-free startups forever more.
