Using phone kills wireless router
If you have a 2.4 GHz cordless phone and a wireless router, you may have a problem. Wireless routers use the same 2.4 GHz frequency as many phones. This can lead to problems on both devices: static on your phone when the wireless network is in use, and poor signal strength on your wireless network when using your phone. If this is happening to you, your really have two options to fix this problem.
The first, and most reliable way, is to get a different phone that does not use 2.4 GHz as the frequency. Most newer phones use higher frequencies and they do not interfere with wireless networks.
The second is to configure your wireless router. All routers have multiple channels available, there are usually 11 channels. Try changing the channel to see if this improves the problem.
