Keep your coffee or tea hot longer

Before you put coffee or tea into your mug, fill you mug with hot water and let it set there for a minute or two. This will pre-heat your mug so that when you put in your coffee or tea, the heat won't go into heating up the mug since it'll be hot already. If you do this, your coffee or tea will stay hot for a much longer time.
