Reseting data in Safari 3

Like most people, I am loathe to reset my browser since I don't want to lose my password information and cookies that contain login information for websites that I frequent. If I am running into a problem with my browser or a site, resetting the browser is the last thing I'll try since it then screws me up for days to come.

Safari 3 has a nice alternative that allows you to reset your browser when needed without losing all of your information. When you choose the "Reset Safari..." option from the menu, you actually get the option to select which elements of the cache you would like to reset. This way, you can clear out the particular element of the cache that is causing the behavior you are trying to stop without losing all of the information in the cache that you have come to rely on. If you are using Safari 3, don't fear the cache reset!
