Most libraries has an organization called the "Friends of the Library" or something to that effect. People in this organization help support the library for special projects, marketing, and in other ways depending on the library. If you don't have free time to give, you can usually just pay for a membership. Why bother you ask? Well, membership usually entitles you to longer check-out times, usually double whatever the normal check-out time is. Even better, if you are a teacher you teach your kids at home (or just claim to do so), you can usually get this membership for free!
