Unclutter your desktop for presentations
If you are giving a presentation and using your computer to present, it's a good idea to clean up your desktop first so people don't see that you are a) a slob or b) someone with a lot of inappropriate stuff on your desktop. But you don't really want to clean up your desktop because you know where everything is and if you move it, things will get lost.
Fear not, there is a solution. You can temporarily hide everything on your desktop when you are giving your presentation. That way things look nice and clean when other people are seeing your desktop. But when you are done, you can go back to enjoying your mess.
To do this, right-click on your desktop and select the "Arrange Icons By" and then uncheck the "Show Desktop Icons" option. Ta-da, your mess is gone. Once you are done with your presentation, you do the same thing to reverse the process.
