Setting up Vista so that no password is needed to resume from sleep

By default if you have a password on your computer, Vista requires that the password be entered when waking up from sleep mode. If you want, you can set Vista up so that a password is required to log in to the computer, but the password is not required to wake up from sleep. TO configure this open the Power Options from the Control Panel. On the left side of the panel you'll see a link labeled "Require a password on wakeup". If UAC is enabled, there will be a link labeled "Change settings that are currently unavailable". Click on this link to open up more options. Once all of the options are shown, select the radio button next to "Don't require a password" in the "Password protection on wakeup" section. Once you save these changes, you'll no longer need to enter your password when waking up your computer.
