Reseting your iPod nano
If your iPod nano gets stuck, frozen, or is totally unresponsive for some reason, you can reset your iPod nano to bring it back to life. Resetting your iPod nano won't (or shouldn't) affect your music or data files. If you can't get your iPod nano to respond and you want to reset it, here's what you need to do.
1. Slide the hold switch to be on, and then slide it back to the off position (it's off when the switch is closest to the outside of your nano, it's on when the switch is moved to the middle of your nano).
2. Hold down the Menu and the select (the button in the middle of the scroll wheel) buttons at the same time. Keep holding them down until you see the Apple logo appear on the screen, you can then release the buttons.
This reset procedure should revive your stuck iPod nano. If not, you may need to contact Apple for further support.
