Cleaning up wine stains in carpet

If you get a red wine stain in your carpet immediately dilute the stain with white wine. Then clean the spot with cold water and cover it with table salt. Let the salt sit on the red wine stain for 10 - 20 minutes then vacuum up the salt. Your stain should be gone.
