IRS Electronic Filing for 2010, 2011
Once you have completed your return through the service and have selected to e-file (electronically file) your return, which is a click of a button, the IRS will then send you a confirmation through your email account that they have received your federal tax return. This process is the fastest available; in most cases, taxpayers can begin to receive their refund in as little as 8-10 days. If you choose to have your refund direct deposited or if you would rather have your refund made via paper check, you still could have your refund within a couple weeks. Isn’t that amazing? It's much faster than mailing in your returns and hoping they made it to the IRS and then wondering how long it will take to have them processed.
