Saving soup that is too salty

If you are making soup and find that it is too salty, here's a trick to reduce the saltiness of your soup. Get a potato and slice it into pieces about 1/4" thick. Add these slices to your soup for about 10 - 15 minutes and then take them out. The potato slices will absorb a lot of the salt from your soup broth and leave it tasty less salty.
