Cutting warm cake

If you try to cut a warm cake, it will usually fall apart when you cut it. If you can get the cake out of the pan safely, a trick you can use to then cut the warm cake is to use dental floss. Just hold the floss tightly across the entire cake and press down. This will usually allow you to cut a cake that is warm without the cake falling apart.
