How to record streaming music off the internet

It's a little-know fact that you can record music that it streamed over internet radio stations and rip it onto your hard drive. Form there, you can get the music onto your iPod. I'm surprised the RIAA hasn't put a stop to this yet, but using the streamripper software,

i tried this before. I found the need to install alot of 'fluff' if I remember correctly. It didnt work for me, not sure why?! Ill have to try again

I haven't used the PC version, but I have used the Mac OS X version and it worked for me great. I didn't have to install anything extra.
