Whenever Facebook shows an email address, it shows it as an image instead of text. As a result, if you want to email someone, it's a lot easier to use Facebook's messaging system since the alternative is to type in the address yourself into your email client.

If you'd rather use your own email instead of Facebook's messaging system, there is now help available. A plug-in has been created for Firefox that converts the Facebook email images into text that is links. Using this extension, when an email address is shown in Facebook, you can click on it directly to send an email directly to that person.
