Make a classroom out of your garage.
Have a large garage? Stay-at-home mom or work from home? Have young kids?
If you have a part of your garage that is not being used, transform it into a classroom! Paint the walls a fun, school-like color, and experiment with different kinds of paint.
Use rulers to make a large rectangle on one of the garage walls, and paint it with "magnetizing paint" and then "chalkboard paint". Things will stick to the wall, and your child can draw on it with chalk!!
You can put a few colorful desks, chairs or tables in the garage - preferably ones that can fold up and be stored in the garage itself! Hang a map on the wall - or a pocket organizer. Have fun, be creative!
Kids, especially pre-school and up, will never get tired of playing school. This is a great way to incorporate learning into fun.
