Increase balloon tip display time

If you want to increase the balloon tip display time, you can do so by making a registry edit. Go to Start -> Run, enter regedit and hit Enter to start the registry editor. In the left side, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER + Software + Microsoft + Windows + CurrentVersion + Explorer + TrayNotify. Once you selected the TrayNotify section, right-click on it and select New -> DWORD. Enter a name of BalloonTip for the new value, and enter a value of 0000000a and you will have increased the balloon tip display time.
