Run programs automatically when Windows 7 starts

If you have programs that you want to have run automatically when Windows 7 starts, here's how you can customize Windows 7 so that this happens.

- From the Start Menu, type in gpedit.msc and hit enter. This should start the Group Policy Editor.

- In the left pane of the Group Policy Editor navigate to User Configuration >> Windows Settings >> Scripts (Logon/Logoff).

- In the right pane double-click on Logon to open the Logon Properties window.

- In the Logon Properites windows, click on the Add... button.

- You want to set the Script Name in this window. Click the Browse... button and you'll be able to select the program you want to run on startup.

You can repeat the clicks on the Add... button to add as many start programs as you want. Once you are done, click OK as needed to save your changes.
