Adding subscribed calendars on the iPhone
One of the lesser advertised features in the 3.0 software for the iPhone is the ability to add subscribed calendars to your iPhone calendar. It's a little weird how Apple buried this ability, but if you follow these steps it's not that hard to add subscribed calendars to your iPhone...
Step 1
From the Home screen, tap on Settings.
Step 2
In the Settings, select Mail, Contacts, and Calendars.
Step 3
Now this is the tricky part, when you get to the Mail, Contacts, and Calendars settings you may be tempted to go down to the Calendar section to add your calendar. Wrong! This is not where it is. You need to select the Add Account... option up near the top in the Accounts section that lists all of your email accounts.
Step 4
In the Add Account page, select the Other option.
Step 5
You've made it! In the Calendars section of this page are two options for adding subscribed calendars: Add CalDAV Account and Add Subscribed Calendar.
The CalDAV account option is for calendars that support the CalDAV standard... If you have a GMail calendar, this is an example of one.
The Subscribed Calendar option can be used for any calendar that publishes its output in the .ics format.
Pick the one that works for the calendar to which you are subscribing and you'll get an additional panel that gathers the specific information/URLs for the calendar to which you are subscribing.
