Disable page transitions in IE8
IE8 supports page transitions; a feature which allows web designers and developers to animate the display of the page in IE8 when you come to a page or leave a page on a site. While most sites don't yet support this, you can be sure some sites will soon be supporting this in some very annoying ways.
If you want to skip the fancy page animations when you are browsing and just go where you are trying to go, your safest bet is to disable the page transitions in IE8.
You can do this by going to Tools > Internet Options in IE8. Once the options option, click on the Advanced tab. Scroll down to the Browsing section, find the entry called Enable page transitions and uncheck the box next to it. Click OK to save your changes.
You'll then be spared from having to see page transitions in IE8.
