Hibernation errors in Windows 7
In Windows 7, if you use hibernation and you have not allocated enough size to the hibernation file, you'll get an error when you try to hibernate. The result is a blue-screen with an error message that reads:
If you see this error, or you have problems with getting hibernation to work, the thing to do is to increase the hibernation file. The file needs to be as big as the amount of memory in your system, so this problem can often start showing if you add RAM to your system.
You can pretty easily increase the hibernation file size to match your system memory by running a command on the command prompt. You need to be running a command prompt with admin privileges. Once you have that open, run this command:
This'll resize your hibernation file to match your system memory and hibernation should start working again.
