See boot-up information in VistaIf you want to geek-out your Vista machine, you can set it up so that instead of seeing calming graphics when your machine is booting up, you can see what the commands that are being executed spewing across the screen. If you want to check it out, go to the start menu and type msconfig to start the System Configuration window. Select the Boot tab and then check the box next to "OS boot information" and click OK. Next time you boot your machine, you'll see a scrolling list of what's being loaded. Aside from being a cool geek trick, this can actually be useful if you machine is hanging when it boots since you'll be able to tell the point at which the boot process is hanging.
