How to turn off a Zune HD
You might think that turning off a device which has a power switch would be a pretty easy proposition. But when it comes to the Zune HD, you'd be wrong.
If you hit the power switch, it does not turn your Zune HD off, it puts it into sleep mode. If you want to turn it off completely, here are the steps:
1 - Hold down the power button for several seconds until "POWER OFF" is displayed on the screen.
2 - Release the power button.
3 - Using the touch screen, slide the window containing the "POWER OFF" text to the bottom of the screen.
Your Zune HD will then be off for real.
