Enabling extensions in Google Chrome
To enable extensions in Google's Chrome browser, you need to update your shortcut that you use to start Chrome.
First you'll want to quit Chrome.
Second you'll want to go to your Chrome shortcut, right-click on it and select Properties from the menu.
Once the properties are shown, click on the Shortcut tab.
Go down to the Target entry in the panel. You want to add a space after the quotes at the end of the current entry, and then add the following: --enable-extensions
So for example, once edited the entry may look something like this:
"C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --enable-extensions
Once you have the Target correctly edited, click the Apply and then the OK buttons. Next time you start Chrome, you'll be able to add and use extensions.
