How to Exercise With a Baby
If you've ever had a new baby, exercising becomes quite a challenge, especially if your baby likes to be held a lot or you can't always workout around the baby's napping schedule.
A great way to exercise with a baby is to get a stroller and go for a walk. If you do not live in a neighborhood with sidewalks, you can always take a trip to the local park and go for the walk there. Pushing the stroller will give you extra resistance that can help make it a better workout than walking alone would. Best of all, most babies love going for a ride and seeing the new things.
Here are some other tips for getting a good exercise with your baby:
Go when the baby is well rested and fed So he or she doesn't become cranky
Attach a small toy to the stroller so the baby doesn't make a game of throwing the toy and you picking it up
Remember to protect yourself from the weather elements and dress appropriately for warm or cold days - always wear sunscreen!
Don't force it - if the baby is uncooperative at first, just keep trying in small increments of time until eventually they will both enjoy it
