Cheap way to kill shoe odor

If you have a pair of bad smelling shoes, and easy and cheap way to help with the odor is to put a scented dryer sheet in each shoe when it is not being worn. The sheets do a good job of absorbing the shoe odors and the scent of the fabric sheet will help mask any odor that remains.
