Getting rid of mildew smell in clothes

If you leave your clothes in the washer for too long before getting them in the drier, your clothes may end up with a nasty mildew smell. If you think you have left your clothes in the washer too long and you are worried about this, put a cup of vinegar in the washing machine and rewash your clothes without any detergent. The vinegar will completely remove any mildew and it will leave your clothes smelling fresh.

Lysol disinfectant liquid also works (this is the stuff made for washing walls, etc.) If I detect any mildew smell before I was the clothes, I add some Lysol liquid in place of a portion of my detergent and the mildew is gone.
