Apple TV not playing rented movies
I ran into an issue with my Apple TV where it wouldn't let me play any movies that I had rented. Any time I went to play the movie I'd get a message that my Apple TV wasn't authorized to play the movie. Even though I'd just rented it.
The solution I found was to de-authorize my Apple TV and then re-authorize it. Once I did that, the movies played again.
To de-authorize your Apple TV, you have to open iTunes and select Deauthorize Computer from the Store menu. It'll ask for your password for confirmation. Once it's de-authorized, try to play the movie again and it'll try to re-authorize itself. Once I did this I was able to play my movies again.
