Disable the switch user option in Vista and Windows 7
Took my a while to finally find this. So here's how you disable fast user switching in Vista and Windows 7.
- Go to Start -> Run and type in: gpedit.msc this will run the group policy editor.
- In the left pane of the policy editor, select Local Computer Policy > Administrative Templates > System > Logon.
- Once you are in Logon, nove to the right pane and select the Hide entry points for Fast User Switching. Double-click on this entry so that the state is set to Enabled.
That's all you need to do. Fast user switching will then be disabled.
