Drilling stone, masonry, or concrete

When drilling in really hard materials like stone, masonry, on concrete, it is very important that continually withdraw the drill bit from the hole. You need to do it a lot, like every 5 seconds or so. By doing this, you get the drilled material out of the hole and this keeps your bit running a lot cooler. When the bit is kept cool it stays sharper, drills better, and it's less like to break the bit.
