Keep your photos from being used in Facebook ads
Facebook has been letting advertisers use photos from people's wall in their advertisements. The advertisers use a photo of you and include it in an ad that is then shown to your friends, making it look like you are somehow involved with whatever is being advertised.
If you want to protect your photos and keep them from being used in ads in Facebook here's what you need to do.
- Go to Facebook and from your home hover over Settings (upper right part of the screen) and select Privacy Settings from the menu.
- Click on News Feed and Wall.
- Click on the Facebook Ads tab.
- For the Allow ads on platform pages to show my information to setting, change it from Only my friends to No one.
- Click the Save Changes button.
