Power strip alternative

Everyone knows you should use a power strip with surge protection for your computers, TVs, stereos, and other electronics. If you don't you risk your electornics getting killed by a lightning strike or other electrical surges. The problem with most power strips is that they don't work very well with modern electrical equipment. They are usually a tight strip of fixed outlets in a fixed row. If you have big bulky plugs with transforms on them, you may be able to use every-other outlet at best.

An alternative to the usual power strip is the PowerSquid. Instead of a strip, they make use of short flexible outlets. This makes its a lot easier to connect all of your equipment to the surge protector. They also provide more advanced surge protection that your cheap powere strip. They are more expensive than a regular power strip, but once you use one you'll never want to go back to a regular power strip. If you are the sort that uses Monster Cable for your stereo wire, this is probably your type of power strip.
