Keeping raccoons out of corn
If the raccoons are in your corn and getting all the good corn before you, here's a trick that helped me. Get a bunch of plastic bags like the kind they use at the grocery store (I save mine up over the year) and put one over each ear of corn. Then tape the bag shut so that the ear of corn is completely sealed in. Then coat the bag and the plant with a light dusting of baby powder. It's a time consuming process so it only works if you don't have a lot of plants, but since I started doing this I haven't lost any corn to the raccoons.
