Change the default email client in Firefox

By default when you click on an email (mailto) link in Firefox, it brings up your "default" desktop email application. You can configure Firefox to use any email client you want for this including web-based clients like GMail.

To change this, go to your preferences in Firefox and select the Applications tab. In the search box enter mailto and this will show you the application used for email links. You can then click on the application and it will show you the other email applications that are available.
